Time with the A Family {sneak peek}

Super quick sneak peek of some awesome shots from my time with the A Family on Monday!!

J Family!!

Boy was this a fun shoot!!! Beautiful sweet family who were totally willing to go wherever or do whatever it took to get a great shot! On Saturday afternoon, we headed out to Verrado, a small community a few miles from our house.

First, we had planned to meet at one of their favorite parks out there. Things started off interestingly because they couldn't find the park! So, we took a wrong turn and ended up at this gorgeous, gorgeous park. Tons of trees, benches, steps....*sigh*

Then, I had seen the Christmas tree (at the end of this post) earlier, and really wanted to incorporate it somehow. But, when we got out there, Verrado was having a huge Christmas festival right around the tree. Fortunately, they didn't mind winding through all the people to spend a few minutes there! I love the shots of the kids with it in the background!

J Family {sneak peek}

Does anyone else here just melt over big beautiful brown eyes?!?! This family that I had the opportunity to photograph last weekend has enough brown eyes to melt anyone! We had a wonderful time out at a small community nearby, dodging Christmas festivals and other photographers!!

This was one of my favorite shoots yet, and I am LOVING how these shots are turning out!!

Baby Benjamin {newborn}

Red curly hair....blue eyes....tiny fingers....tiny toes.....smiles.....total CUTE!! On Saturday, I drove out to our the home of our pastor and his family to do my first newborn shoot. 

Probably due to the fact that it was my first newborn shoot, I was so freaked out I couldn't sleep the night before mildly nervous. But this little guy was so awesome!!

First thing I noticed when I walked in their room was the beautiful light!!! A big beautiful bay window flooded the whole room with this heavenly creamy light. One of my biggest fears is shooting indoors because I use the outdoor light so much. No worries here!

Having the wedding picture over the bed added a whole new layer of deliciousness...

I was so blessed to do this shoot and can't wait to do more newborns in the future!!

Baby B {sneak peek}

Contrary to popular opinion, I have not fallen off the face of the earth, stopped blogging, been eaten by wild animals, or gone away in any way, shape, or form. Instead, I am very much alive and here, just extremely busy. I was in Oregon for the past 6 weeks, and got home just in time for a wonderful Thanksgiving...and just in time to take lots and lots of family Christmas pictures!! 

(Warning: prepare for onslaught of picture heavy posts!)

My first shoot since I've been home was this morning. It was also another first...my first newborn shoot! I had a wonderful time photographing the newest baby of our pastor and his wife. I was extremely nervous about this shoot, but it went wonderfully and I can't wait to share more of the shots with you. 

But for now, you'll have to be content with this one...one of my favorites!
